How to Transfer Your Delverium Demo Character to Early Access
Your demo character can come with you into Early Access. Your demo world cannot. Here is how the import works, and what to do if you already skipped the screen that offers it.

The import option is shown before you start the game for the first time, as long as the demo and your valid character saves are on the same PC. If you already skipped it, a reliable official method to reopen it has not been confirmed.
What Can Be Transferred?
Your character. Demo character saves can be imported into the Early Access version of Delverium. That is the confirmed part of your demo progress that carries over.
That is also the whole list. We do not have a verified, item-by-item breakdown of what an imported character keeps — your inventory, your equipment, your character level and everything else. Rather than guess at it, we have left it out.
What Cannot Be Transferred?
Your world. Demo world saves are not compatible with the Early Access version of Delverium.
The developer has stated that demo world saves do not work in Early Access without giving a detailed technical reason, so we are not going to invent one. What it means in practice is simple enough: whatever you built in that world is not coming with you.
In practice the split is character versus world, and it is worth reading that twice before you delete anything. The character is the part that transfers; the buildings, the terrain and everything you placed are not.
How the Demo Character Import Works
The Early Access build of Delverium can pick up a character from the demo. The important detail is when the option shows up: the developer's guidance is that the Import Character Saves option is shown before you start the game for the first time, and it needs the demo plus your valid demo character saves to be installed on the same PC.
- Have the demo and its character saves installed on the PC where you are setting up Early Access.
- Install the Early Access version of Delverium.
- Look for Import Character Saves before you start the game for the first time — that is when it is offered.
- Choose the demo character you want to bring across.

The option appears before you start the game for the first time. If you want to bring a demo character over, check for it at that point — not later.
We are not listing save file paths or folder locations. Those differ between installs, and we have not verified them for the Early Access build.
If You Skipped the Import Screen
The official September 15 release announcement describes when the initial import option appears. It does not provide instructions for reopening a skipped prompt. We have not confirmed a recovery method for the current build.
No confirmed fix
If you already skipped the first-launch import prompt, a reliable official method to reopen it has not yet been confirmed here.
What we are not going to do is hand you a workaround made of guesses. Advice to delete save folders, registry entries or Steam Cloud data is easy to write and hard to undo, and none of it is confirmed by the developer. Deleting the wrong thing costs you the saves you were trying to keep.
If you have not launched Early Access yet, the practical advice is simply to watch for the prompt on that first launch. That is the one point where the option is confirmed to appear.
Should You Start a New Character?
The developer recommends starting a new character for the best Early Access experience. That recommendation makes sense if you look at how much bigger Early Access is than the demo — more biomes, more bosses, more building, farming and crafting options, plus fishing, cosmetic equipment and Steam achievements. It is a recommendation, not a restriction. Importing a demo character is supported, and the choice is yours. If you were attached to the character you played in the demo, bring them across.
